It was during my 47th trip around the sun that I became very unsettled with my life. God needed me to make some changes. But, I have been known to be a bit stubborn, and, well, God sometimes has to take a drastic approach with me.
When one embarks on a journey to improve their physical health, it can be painful at times. There may be times when the muscles aches or hunger pains. People around you may not understand about your diet or the time you have committed to the gym. You may have doubts as progress can be slow.
The same can be said about a spiritual journey, one in which you work to grow your faith and seek to let God take control. It can be painful - sometimes real pain, like stress-headaches, or mental anguish, like worry keeping you up at night. People around you may not understand your changed way of thinking, your new outlook on life. Progress can be slow, as your human existence hampers your souls ability to connect spiritually.
It is my hope that the words I share here can help you with your spiritual journey. I do not have all the answers, but I do talk to God every day - and He often talks back. I write to share my experiences in hopes they can be a sort of guide for you. Transparency and authenticity will require a whole lotta faith. But I'm gonna put on my big-girl pants, and step forward with courage, for in the words of Mordecai, maybe I am meant for a time such as this.
